The Pygmy cypress is an Australian native conifer hailing from Tasmania and a small pocket in North-eastern NSW, where it is considered vulnerable due to habitat disturbance. This bushy and compact cypress pine is well adapted to poor soils and erratic rainfall, as well as being somewhat fire tolerant.
