3-4 year old Norway Spruce trees frown in 140mm (2L) pots. 30-40cm tall. Weighing around 1.5kg per tree and very compact these trees are very hardy and will travel well in boxes in the post/via courier for up to a week. Commonly used as a mini table-top Christmas tree

Pot up and grow on or plant out directly in the field. Avoid fertilising in the first few months after planting as this can burn young trees. Norway spruces are hardy and faster growing than most spruces. Water regularly and well to keep them growing at maximum rate. Norway Spruces like gentle slopes or hilly terrain with good drainage but will tolerate wet feet or flat sites better than most other conifers. They thrive on acidic soils and will tolerate lightly alkaline soil. Trees are frost tolerant down to -30’C but do not like long periods of hot or dry weather. A sheltered spot or cold site is best. Trees do not need pruning to maintain Christmas tree shape.
