A hardy and versatile tree tolerant of a range of soils and climates. This tree will grow in boggy conditions and heavy soil but grows best in well drained, constantly moist soil. Slow to moderate growth rate, the Norway spruce loves a sheltered or cooler spot and tolerates heavy frost. It forms a dense conical shape without pruning and features a strong and attractive scent.
