These conifers all retain their foliage very well for a long time on display Cut the bases as you would for fresh flowers and place in water to get 4-6 weeks or more display life. Note Noble Fir and to some degree Douglas Fir will retain their needles for months, even when displayed dry and are the trees of choice for dry displays or Christmas wreath making.
