Noble Fir - Potted trees
Noble Fir - Potted trees
The noble fir is an elegant, symmetrical tree with attractive blue-green foliage becoming bluer with age. They are extremely slow growing, reaching 2m in 10-12 years. A delicate and temperamental tree, it is recommended these are grown in a sheltered position with very well drained soil and plenty of water in warmer periods. They grow best on sandy loams and love a sloping position in a cooler climate.
Noble firs are native to the high rainfall, cool mountains of the Western United states and Canada. They are considered one of the world’s top Christmas tree varieties with a beautiful distinctive scent, no needle loss on display even when dry) and fantastic needle colour retention.
