The Giant sequoia is one of the oldest known species, originating in regions of California in the U.S.
The Giant sequoia is usually found in areas with dry summers and cold winters, in altitudes above 1400 meters.

Ideal Growth Conditions: Well-drained, clay-loam soils with a balanced pH, Full sun.

Tending and care
This slow-growing giant is best kept in cooler climates in Australia. Warmer and coastal regions may have more success with the coastal redwood.
Protect young trees from cold frosty conditions, until the root system is well established.
